CITY GOVERNMENT MISSION


"To develop Tacloban into an urbanized city with a fast growing economy, ecological balance and social equity, thereby maintaining its status as the strategic hub of Eastern Visayas."

Under this Mission, these GOALS are set:

1. To achieve a sustainable socio-economic growth; and
2. To attain a more equitable distribution of income and wealth.

In support of these Goals, the specific OBJECTIVES are:

1. Generate employment opportunities and income.
2. Increase production, particularly livestock, poultry, fruits and vegetables.
3. Promote protection of the urban and upland forests and coastal waters.
4. Provide housing facilities and utilities especialy among the low and middle income groups.
5. Improve / upgrade existing infrastracture facilities and utilities supportive of the economic and social sectors.
