TACLOBAN CITY (CIO) – City Government Department and Office Head along with the Administrative Officers/Designate attended the Reorientation-Workshop on the Strategic Performance Management System (SPMS) at Patio Victoria, San Jose, on April 11, 2019.

The SPMS of the City Government is guided by 4 policies: 1. It adheres to the principle of performance-based security of tenure. 2. It operates on shared commitments and objective measures of performance results. 3. It enhances productivity by using performance targets and standards attuned to organizational goals and mandate; 4. It promotes transparency and provides a mechanism for appeals and resolution of conflicts and/or disagreements.

Participants of the activity were divided into 5 Sectors – Development Administration Sector, Social Sector, Economic Sector, Infrastructure Sector, and Environment Sector.

Human Resources Management and Development Office (HRMDO) OIC, Ruena Mate led the Speakers which included Ma. Rose Jecino of the City Planning and Development Office and City Treasurer Head, Ma. Zosima Cordaño. Apart from the Strategic Performance Management System other topics included the concrete linkage of organizational performance with approved plans, and the Agreements and Ways Forward.

Incoming City Mayor Alfred Romualdez graced the event and addressed the gathered City Government officials and employees. He appealed to them to work hand in hand in achieving a better and progressive Tacloban.
