“Try to educate and enrich yourself. Invest in yourself. Kahit hold-upin kayo, hindi mananakaw sa inyo ‘yan,” Mayor Alfred S. Romuldez told the forty-five (45) youths who recieved their Computer Systems Servicing NCII at the USAid Building in Kanhuraw Hill, today, July 29, 2021.

With hopes to help address the rising unemployment rate amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, this group of youth beneficiaries identified by the CSWDO got their training certificates along with their toolkits (desktop computer set) after forty-five days of training at St.Therese Educational Foundation Tacloban Inc. (STEFTI) thru DSWD’s Sustainable Livelihood Program.

Meanwhile, Mark Greg Waniwan who is one of the beneficiaries, an Out-of-School-Youth and a displaced worker, expressed his gratitude to DSWD-FO8, STEFTI, and the City Government of Tacloban for the opportunity to enhance their skills, improve themselves, and eventually help their families, thru the training.

“Sana mapadayon pa an sugad hini nga programa para mas madamu pa an mabuligan sugad ha amon,” Mark Greg added.
