Tacloban City Health Office (CHO) launched a four-day FREE X-RAY activity, at the Mega Vaccination Center in Astrodome, intended to Taclobanons with presumptive TB or those showing its symptoms (more than two-week old cough, weight and appetite loss, high fever, etc.) and those who are close contacts of confirmed TB patients.

Under the TB Control Program, said activity which started last November 9 and is set to run until tomorrow, November 12, targets a total of 500 individuals as beneficiaries. Starting at 8:00 A.M., TB screening will continue until quota is met which is 100 individuals per day.

Dr. Danilo Ecarma, TCHO TB Medical Director, encourages those who are showing TB symptoms to avail of the free screening as said disease is still a health problem in Tacloban. According to him, said activity is being purposely held sumultaneously with the #Resbakuna in Astrodome to be able to serve more Taclobanons.

Meanwhile, 732 Taclobanons have been enrolled in the TB treatment as of the third quarter of 2021.
