LOOK: At least 200 participants joined this year’s Gender and Development (GAD) Summit held on Wednesday, February 5.
The said activity, spearheaded by the local government under Mayor Alfred S. Romualdez through the City Population Office, intends to highlight the relevant issues on teenage pregnancy, education and social protection of young parents, and reproductive health.
Gracing the event was Acting City Health Officer Dr. Gloria Fabrigas who gave a talk about adolescent pregnancy.
Meantime, Population and Development Undersecretary Juan Antonio Perez III also served as speaker during the half-day activity.
This year’s Summit carries the theme: “Teenage Pregnancy: A National Social Emergency.”
