Even on a holiday, the city’s frontline and healthcare workers are diligently assisting with the first rollout of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine in Tacloban.

In an interview, Mayor Alfred Romualdez encouraged Taclobanons to convince an elderly Taclobanon and get vaccinated as well. This strategy aims to boost the number of protected lives against the virus especially the vulnerable groups.

The city received a total of 10,000 doses of the J&J brand to prioritize the inoculation of the senior and PWD population in both vaccination sites. Johnson & Johnson vaccine only requires one dose rather than the usual 2 doses COVID shots.
