LEARNING RESOURCES AUGMENTED AMIDST PANDEMIC
Over the challenges confronting the new normal learning system at the onset of the pandemic in 2020, Rotary Club of Kandaya Tacloban (Rotary Club District 3860), in partnership with the City Government of Tacloban, commenced the mini- library project for the benefit of the school children in Brgy. 106, Kawayanville.
Temporarily located at Habitat Village, the newly constructed Mini-Library & Community Center which is soon to launch is set to build up the learning resources of the villages amidst the limitations of the remote learning scheme, as shared by Ms. Ruth Ramirez, Head of the City Hall North Extension.
Meanwhile, Mayor Alfred Romualdez expressed his plan to have wifi installed at the relocation sites during the celebration of the International Youth Day last August 14, 2021. This, along with the launching of the mini-library, marks the learning condition advancement of the youth and school children in the area.
