LGU Tacloban, thru the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), brought more help to #OdettePH-stricken Southern Leyte.

Two municipalities from the south – Malitbog and Padre Burgos, received bottled drinking water, mats, mosquito nets, used clothings, and food packs; all from good-hearted Taclobanons who responded to the call of the City Government for donations and more help for the victims of the super typhoon.

Last December 22, 2021, six days after the super typhoon hit some parts of the country, Mayor Alfred Romualdez and his team went to San Juan, Southern Leyte to offer help thru a relief operation and medical mission. After seeing the extent of devastation in the province, the City Mayor called for more help coming from Tacloban to other municipalities in the typhoon-wrecked area. Heeding the call, the CSWDO team, along with two trucks loaded with relief goods, headed to Southern Leyte last Friday, January 21, 2022.
