The local government has received around 1,500 meals for the city’s daycare children from the McDonald’s Kindness Kitchen and Ronald McDonald House of Charities in support of the Pilipinas Kontra Gutom (PKG), a movement behind the Task Force Zero Hunger.

Mayor Alfred Romualdez and City Social Welfare and Development Officer (CSWDO) Fe Chona Bahin warmly received the donations from Zero Hunger Taskforce chairman and Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles and Caroline Andrade and Marie Angeles, Executive Director of RMHC.

Apart from the hot meals, virgin coconut oils, t-shirt,s, and some hygiene kits were likewise turned over on Friday, June 25.
