Mayor Alfred Romualdez leads posting of advocacy stickers to public utility vehicles
To support the celebration of the 43rd National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation (NDPR) week, Mayor Alfred S. Romualdez led the posting of advocacy stickers to some public utility vehicles earlier today, July 19.
The sticker aims to inform other passengers to vacate the front seat and the rear end of the vehicle near the entrance for Persons With Disability (PWD) commuters, as required by Batas Pambansa 344, also known as the Accessibility Law.
Mayor Romualdez was joined by members of the PWD Federation led by its President Marilou Tiu and Raymund Romualdez, Tacloban Business Club Inc., and Hiraya Tacloban Foundation president.
NDPR week, which falls on July 17 to 23, adopts the timely and relevant theme “Kalusugan at Kaunlaran ng Pilipinong May Kapansanan, Isulong sa Gitna ng Pandemya”, which focuses on the health and economic empowerment of Persons with Disabilities during this time of COVID19 pandemic.
